What it does

Vortex Code is a coding agent from Spinoza Labs that works in your terminal (the Vortex CLI) and in a desktop app for Mac, Windows and Linux. It has three modes: Agent, the standard loop where one agent reads, edits and iterates in your repository; Build, which plans the work into tasks and runs them in parallel with tests gating every merge; and Architect, which first designs the system as a blueprint of components and interfaces, compiles it with the company's Agent OS and has a swarm of agents build and merge against that graph. Plans include several frontier models (the pricing page lists Opus 5.5, Sol 6.1, Astra 6 and Grok 4.7), Plan and Deep Research modes, cloud machines and web search. Every plan is paid and your subscription comes back as usage you can top up.
