Backdrop lets a company build its own AI coworkers, one for each job, from marketing and ops to product and client work. It is made by Twig Tech Inc., a Y Combinator company in Seattle that does business as Backdrop. You give each coworker instructions, skills and access to the tools it needs, or teach it a workflow by showing it a screen recording, and it researches, writes, plans, follows up and creates or updates work inside 1,000+ connected apps such as Slack, Google, HubSpot, Asana, QuickBooks and Meta Ads. People and coworkers share conversations and one company memory, and every coworker has its own permissions, approval steps and a full history of what it did and why.
