What it does
Microsoft Scout is an always-on personal agent for work, made by Microsoft. It is a desktop app for Windows and Mac: you describe a job in chat and it reads and writes your files, runs shell commands, controls a browser and works with your Microsoft 365 data (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint), carrying on in the background. It asks before sensitive actions. It is an experimental preview: your organization has to join Microsoft's Frontier program, and you need a Copilot license.
